Judy Austin: Actor Pete Edochie and Son Yul At War

Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie and his son, Yul are at war.

ENigeria Newspaper reports that a major war may be brewing between legendary actor, Pete Edochie and his controversial son, Yul over his second wife, Judy Austin.

Days after Pete’s viral interview with Chude Jideonwo, where he spoke highly of Yul’s first wife, May, Yul seems unhappy about that.

In the said interview, Edochie, who attained national prominence with his inimitable interpretation of the role of Okonkwo in Chinua Achebe’s Things fall Apart, said: “First of all, Yul is 41 and I don’t interfere in his affairs. No!

Suddenly we heard he’s picked up a second wife.

“There is something we always say in Igbo: ‘If you go and pick up ant-infested firewood, it’s a direct invitation to the lizards to come to roost, right?’ So, here I am and that’s all…”

On his part in a swift response, taking to his Facebook page on Monday, August 7, 2023, Yul first shared a clip of his father and second wife, Judy, on a movie set, before adding:
“Many people don’t know the real story. The real story will come out soon.
Chief Pete Edochie, Judy Austin, Yul Edochie. This is how it all started.”

Already, there are indications that Yul who has reportedly fallen out with his parents is also at loggerheads with his older siblings over Judy Austin who is perceived to have hypnotized him.

As at the time of filing this report, May, Yul Edochie’s first wife has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband through her attorneys Femi Falana.
