It is so for the later category due largely to their influence, presence and relevance. Their actions and comments of course strike the public most times in awe depending on the side of the divide you belong.
They’re always where the action is. They equally act to prove their importance. Government after government engage or hire them to carry out one national assignment or another. So when they talk you can’t help but listen even if for the sake of doing so.
One of such very important politician is former Minister for Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode. He has been out of the political radar since May 29, 2023 inauguration of President Bola Tinubu…or may be yours sincerely has been following his activities faithfully.
But if he has been off public view then, this writer sorely misses his presence in the political space, his actions and utterances especially. His eloquence and mastery of words. His delivery particularly when speaking on issues he feels strongly about.
Remember, he raised the alarm on an alleged coup to scuttle the President’s inauguration on May 29.. And that action fetched him serious questions in the office of the DSS where he was invited.
One thought FFK should be talking by now given that the candidate he openly supported is now occupying Aso Villa and the recent happenings in the country ranging from the fuel subsidy removal to the arraignment of the suspended CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele to the ministerial nominees list recently transmitted to the Senate by President Bola Tinubu.
Sincerely, I miss FFK.
