AUDIO RECORDING: Father In-law Speaks on Why Family Rejected Wofai Fada, Avoided Her Wedding

Engineer Kunle Cole, father-in-law of actress Wofai Fada has revealed in an audio recording reasons why his family opposed the wedding of their son Taiwo Olakitan Cole.

You would recall that hours before the controversial wedding which was held traditionally at Ugep, Cross Rivers State on Saturday, May 4, 2024, the Cole family had issued a disclaimer stating the family’s displeasure over the development; adding that no family member, acquaintances, relatives, or friends were aware of any marriage between their son, Taiwo Olakitan Cole, and Wofai Fada, hence, that no authorization was issued in that respect.

They advised the public to disregard any publications and papers distributed concerning the wedding.

ENigeria News understands that the disclaimer became inevitable following pictures of the couple splashed all over the internet, especially on the bride’s Instagram page. Wofai Fada had initially shared beautiful photos of herself and her lover fiancé whose identity she concealed from the public.

The pre-wedding photos captured her showing off her engagement ring while kissing her husband.
The caption suggested that they were planning a wedding meant to be held in 2024, without a date attached at the time.

Engineer Kunle Cole Reveals in Audio Recording Why Family Resisted son’s Wedding…

In an audio recording obtained by ENigeria News moments ago, Engineer Kunle Cole revealed that a number of issues led to the family’s decision to stay off the now-controversial wedding.

According to Engineer Cole, the age difference between the couple among other contentious issues was one of the reasons.
He also noted that as a royal family, their son, Taiwo had gone ahead to produce invitation cards without the consent of neither him nor any other member of the royal family of Oniru (their kinsmen).

He said all efforts to get their son to simmer while investigations were conducted on the bride-to-be and her family fell on deaf ears. He reportedly defied the family’s instructions and proceeded with the wedding planning process. The audio is reproduced below…

Although there are insinuations that the 38-year-old actress is pregnant, below is a part of the disclaimer earlier released by her in-laws hours before their traditional marriage ceremony which was held against all the odds.

“Images and videos come to our attention showing our son Taiwo getting married to a Wofai Ewa in a traditional ceremony in Ugep, Cross River State. This serves to notify all acquaintances, family, and friends that the Cole family of Victoria Island Lagos are not aware of any marriage ceremony of our Son Taiwo Olakitan Cole, neither did we grant permission nor support in this regard. As such, person(s) parading themselves as new members of the Cole heritage by virtue of this purported event, are not known nor accepted by the family. All publications and documents being circulated about this are to be disregarded.”
