BREAKING NEWS: Saraki Clears Mr. Ibu’s Medical Bills

A foundation belonging to Senator Bukola Saraki has cleared the medical bill of ailing actor, John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu.

ENigeria News understands that the foundation under the aegis of Bukola Saraki Foundation cleared Mr. Ibu (John Okafor’s) bills after the actor cried for help in a trending video on the internet also seen by this newspaper.

According to multiple sources who are aware of the development, “Bukola Saraki Foundation had as of Wednesday cleared all outstanding medical bills of Mr. Ibu”.
Confirming the news, the foundation wrote: “The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation is honoured to have extended support to Mr. John Okafor also known as Mr. Ibu, a renowned comedic icon who has graced our screens and brought joy and laughter to countless homes over the past four decades.

When we learned of his recent health challenges and the financial burdens associated with his medical treatment, we felt a deep sense of responsibility to assist in any way we could. We promptly paid off his entire medical expenses as of Wednesday.

We encourage everyone who can to come forward and assist in any capacity, whether it’s through financial contributions, moral support, or prayers.
We wish him a swift and complete recovery.”

Following the actor’s cry for help, indications emerged that top Nigerian musicians, David Adeleke (Davido), P-Square, and others promised to cater to him and ensure he is treated in the best hospital anywhere in the world, although at the time of filing this report, there were no confirmation any of that happened.

In 2019, ENigeria News first broke the news of Mr. Ibu’s illness which resulted in a stroke that almost took his life at the time, but he eventually survived. Although the actor denied the report in a viral media interview after he had recovered, close family sources who spoke to us confirmed the news and insisted that ever since he had not remained the same as the symptoms of his last illness kept recurring.
