Six American service members who lost their lives in an Iranian drone strike were returned to U.S. soil on Saturday, with President Donald Trump present to witness the solemn transfer at Dover Air Force Base, ENigeria Newspaper gathered.

The fallen soldiers — Maj. Jeffrey R. O’Brien, Capt. Cody A. Khork, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan, Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, and Sgt. Declan J. Coady — hailed from across the country, including Iowa, Florida, California, Minnesota, and Nebraska.

The youngest among them was just 20 years old. All were killed in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, during military operations.

On a cold March afternoon, the six flag-draped silver caskets were carefully unloaded from a C-17 military cargo plane by white-gloved soldiers and moved across the tarmac into awaiting transport vehicles.

President Trump, wearing a white “USA” cap, saluted as the caskets passed, occasionally rocking on the balls of his feet and fidgeting with his hands. Vice President JD Vance, the defense secretary, chief of staff, and other senior officials were also present.

Before the public ceremony, Trump spent about an hour in private with the families of the fallen, who were shielded from cameras. The somber moment underscored the human cost of the U.S.-Iran conflict, one week after Trump authorized the military operation from Mar-a-Lago.

The repatriation of these service members marks the first American casualties in the conflict and a poignant reminder of the stakes involved in overseas military engagements.
