She spent her formative years in Abuja where she enrolled at Aruwa Nursery School, Abuja and Jabi Primary School, (now, LEA Primary School, Jabi), for her early education.
She had her O’level certificate at the Federal Government Girls College, Bwari, Abuja.
She attained her academic qualifications at an early age. She has a degree in sociology from the University of Abuja and two Master’s degrees from Webster University, an MBA and MA.
She went for her compulsory National Youth Service Corps, at Kaduna where she served with NNPC, Kadunal Zonal office.
Career
Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim has served in diverse capacities, she worked with Abuja Geographic Information Systems( AGIS) after which she worked in human resource, Business and Management in the UK before becoming a certified [SAP] HCM consultant.
She was a senior sales director at Mary Kay company.
She was a special adviser on strategic communication to the minister of state for education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba.
In September 2019, she was appointed member of the Nasarawa State economic advisory council by the Executive Governor of Nassarawa State Engr. A. A. Sule.
She has also served as Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in persons between 2010 and 2021.
In 2021, she was made Federal Commissioner of the National Commission For Refugees Migrants And Internally Displaced Persons.
In August 2023, she was appointed Minister for State, Police Affairs by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu after being screened and cleared by the Senate.
