Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has strengthened his lead in the Turkish Süper Lig Golden Boot race, scoring his 18th league goal to help Trabzonspor defeat Fatih Karagümrük and extend his scoring streak to seven consecutive matches.

Since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, Onuachu has found the net in every league game, driving Trabzonspor’s campaign while widening the gap at the top of the scoring charts.

Despite his form, Onuachu has not received the same media attention as fellow Nigerian international Victor Osimhen, prompting a subtle remark highlighting that consistent performances matter more than publicity.

The tall forward to his social media page to commend how he has always put his head into the game withouht paid or social media hype.

“No paid media. No bought hype. Just hard work, quality and goals”, the post reads.

The post was made when several social media users noticed how little media and Super Eagles fan attention Onuachu receives, particularly in comparison to the fervor around Galatasaray’s Osimhen.

While comparisons between the two may continue, Onuachu’s goals speak for themselves as he pursues the Golden Boot and keeps Trabzonspor’s ambitions alive.
