Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State, and Rochas Okorocha, his predecessor, met on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Political rivalry between the two All Progressives Congress, or APC, leaders dates back a long time.
Around 6:07 p.m., Uzodinma and Okorocha were spotted at the White House with Abdullahi Ganduje, the APC National Chairman.
The vice president, Kashim Shettima, met with the trio of Ganduje, Uzodinma, and Okorocha.
A presidential source claims that Ganduje may invite the Progressive Governors Forum Chairman Uzodimma, his estranged party member Okorocha, and Governor Sanwo-Olu to the White House.
The rivalry between Uzodimma and Okorocha, who presided over Imo from 2011 to 2019, may have been on the agenda of the meeting, even if it was not made public at the time this piece was submitted.
The Imo State Government-established Committee on Recovery of Public Property recently filed charges against Okorocha and some of his political associates.
