Footballer, Mike Obi and musician, MI Abaga have been appointed by Plateau State Governor as Special Advisers.
Gov. Caleb Mutfwang has appointed immediate past Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel as Special Adviser on Sports.
In the same vein, award-winning rapper.
Jude Abaga popularly known as MI was appointed as Special Adviser on Entertainment and Creativity.
Both appointments have been greeted with cheers from among entertainment and sports stakeholders in Plateau State in particular and Nigeria at large.
Michael Nchekwube Obinna popularly known as Mikel Obi was born in Plateau State. Though, he hails from Anambra State but he lived his life in Jos where he started his football career.
As a teenager, Mikel played for the youth team of Plateau United and had few caps with the senior team before he was invited to the Golden Eaglets for Finland 2003 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
On his part, Jude Lemfani Abaga rose to prominence in 2006 when his song “Crowd Mentality” became popular in Jos.
Jos is his home base from where his continuous hits propelled him to the Centre of Excellence which is the home of entertainment.
MI has had an outstanding career which has distinguished him to be identified by Gov. Mutfwang as good enough to help build his government especially around youths.
