There is rising tension in Ekiti as The All-Progressive Congress (APC) reportedly disqualified Engr Kayode Ojo a gubernatorial Aspirant in Ekiti State, from participating in the party’s primary election and Gubernatorial race in the state.
ENigeria News reports that the announcement was made just after Kayode Ojo visited the party’s secretariat in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday and was granted no reception by the Party Executives.
Ojo a major contender feared by the incumbent governor Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji was accompanied by thousands of supporters across the 16 local government areas of the state had shut down Ado-Ekiti ahead of the party’s primary election scheduled for October 27.
Meanwhile, in a report by the TVC News Communication, he has been disqualified from participating in the gubernatorial race in the state.
Ojo’s reported disqualification which is believed to be part of an internal power play allegedly orchestrated by the state governor, Oyebanji had since sparked some tension and disquiet in Ekiti State, but his next move remains unknown at the time of filing this report and he is yet to react to the trending news too.
