Alex Iwobi, the Super Eagles midfielder and Fulham FC star, is set to release his debut music project, signaling a major step into the creative world beyond football, ENigeria Newspaper has learnt.
The 29-year-old announced on Instagram that his extended play (EP), titled More To Life, will drop on 9 April, sharing the album artwork and full tracklist for the nine-song project.
The EP blends solo performances and collaborations, with Iwobi working alongside artists such as Fido, 24am, Teniola Time, Gidi, P17, 4AM, and SPKS.
Two of the tracks feature Iwobi solo, underscoring his growing confidence as a musician. Among the collaborators, Fido is notable for his 2025 hit Joy Is Coming, which topped Nigeria’s charts, while fellow footballer Amadou Onana, recording as 24AM, also contributes.
Iwobi is not new to the studio. He has previously teamed up with fellow footballer Chuba Akpom — who records under the name Skoli — and British rapper Ramz on the track Hop Out.
Despite his music ventures, Iwobi remains integral on the pitch, contributing four goals and three assists for Fulham in the Premier League this season and surpassing 300 appearances in English top-flight football, a milestone that cements his status among Nigeria’s most enduring players abroad.
The former Everton man recently featured in his 98th cap for Super Eagles in the 2-2 draw versus Jordan but was sent off late in the game for unsportmanship conduct.
