Lola Ade-John is a banker and CEO of Novateur Business Technology Consultants Ltd. She is presently the Minister of Tourism for the federation.

Early Life

Loa Ade-John was born and raised in her hometown Lagos.

 

Education

She studied Computer Science at the University of Ibadan and graduated with a degree in 1984. She was the best graduating student .

 

Career

While running her compulsory one year National Youth Service Corps(NYSC), she supported systems used by Petroleum Engineers and the Personnel department in various divisions.

She was employed as a System Analyst at The Shell Petroleum Development Company Of Nigeria and she worked  diligently for some years.

Lola worked with Magnum Trust Bank Ltd. (now part of Sterling Bank Nigeria Plc.)and she played a pivotal role in establishing Information Technology, Administration, Personnel & Training, and Business Development departments.

She headed the Corporate Services and Technology from November 1991 to June 1998.

She worked with Access Bank Plc as the Group Head of Support Services and Technology in 1998.

Still pursuing her career in the banking sector, Lola Ade John served as the Head of Applications at United Bank for Africa (UBA). Between 2001 to 2006 after which she joined Ecobank Nigeria as Technology Integration Manager between 2006 and 2013.

Her contribution to the banking sector was outstanding as she Pioneered the use of structured cabling in the Nigerian banking industry and also implementing new technology reforms for quality and effectiveness.

In 2014, she founded her own company, Novateur Business Technology Consultants Ltd with the mission of giving technical management and consulting services to public and private firms.

Her net worth is currently estimated to be over $100,000.
