This newspaper reports that the defection of the 26 lawmakers who were former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was announced during Monday’s sitting at the House sending the entire scenario into a frenzy of some sort.

The latest development has seen the aggrieved 26 lawmakers forming a formidable opposition given that they now have a majority in the House of Assembly.

ENigeria News reports that in light of the new reality, moves to impeach Governor Fubara may have entered a second phase since he is now at the mercy of the majority members of the house believed to be loyal to his predecessor.
