Authorities in Kuwait have confirmed that multiple United States military aircraft went down within the country’s territory, as tensions in the region continue to intensify, ENigeria Newspaper learnt.
In a statement cited by Al Jazeera and obtained by ENigeria Newspaper, Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence said all crew members aboard the aircraft survived the incident. Emergency teams, alongside Kuwaiti security agencies, were immediately deployed to the crash sites to coordinate rescue and recovery operations.
Officials have yet to disclose the exact number of aircraft involved or the circumstances surrounding the crashes. However, emerging reports suggest the incidents may be linked to ongoing hostilities between the United States and Iran. Footage aired by Al Jazeera reportedly showed one of the fighter jets descending before impact.
Kuwait has been among several Gulf states affected by recent missile exchanges targeting American military installations. Other countries in the region said to have experienced similar strikes include Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Washington has acknowledged casualties from the broader conflict, confirming the deaths of three American soldiers and injuries to several others.
The confrontation has expanded beyond direct US-Iran exchanges. The Iran-backed group Hezbollah has reportedly launched rockets, while Israel has carried out strikes in Lebanon. Casualty figures continue to rise, with hundreds reported killed in Iran from joint US and Israeli operations, and fatalities also confirmed in Israel following retaliatory missile fire.
The conflict erupted over the weekend after coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel on Iranian targets, triggering a series of retaliatory attacks that have since spread across multiple fronts in the Middle East.
