The United States and Israel have carried out a new wave of airstrikes on Iran, targeting key locations in Tehran and the northwestern city of Tabriz, ENigeria Newspaper has learnt.

According to Iranian reports, the strikes occurred early Monday, hitting the Mehrabad International Airport as well as several strategic and civilian sites across the capital. Among the affected locations were a branch of the National Bank and a cardboard manufacturing facility in southern Tehran.

Local media also reported that a residential area in northern Tehran was impacted, leaving a number of people injured. In Tabriz, a petrochemical production site was confirmed among the targets.

Majid Farshi, Director-General of crisis management in East Azerbaijan province, said emergency responders were deployed swiftly.

“The situation is under control,” he noted, adding that there had been no reports of hazardous material leaks.

The latest attacks are part of an ongoing military campaign that reportedly began on February 28. Since then, over 1,300 people have been killed, including Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and other countries in the region, including Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military bases. The escalation has resulted in casualties, infrastructure damage, and growing disruptions to global markets and international air travel.
