The Igbo born Politician, Doris Anite was born into a Christian family on the 16th of October, 1981 in Oguta LGA of Imo state, Nigeria alongside other of her siblings.
She spent her formative years in her hometown and completed her early education before obtaining a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Benin.
She also holds a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter, specializing in Financial Risk Management and Portfolio Management.
She is married to an Igbo native, Mr. Anite and they both have children together.
Career
She joined the banking sector as the General Manager of Zenith Bank Plc in 2002 and was later appointment as a commissioner during the Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodinma administration.
Being the youngest commissioner of her time, Uzoka headed various important positions at Zenith Bank, including Fixed Income and Currency Trading, Asset and Liability Management, Treasury Corporate Sales, and Financial Institutions.
In 2011, she was moved from the Human Resources and Training department to the bank’s Treasury. She worked tirelessly and developed strategic policies for strict compliance with regulatory requirements and managing risks and forex trading.
Dr Uzoka’s outstanding contributions in the banking industry led to improvements, promotions and also accolades to her name.
