Fenerbahçe, a Turkish Super Lig team, has complained to Galatasaray about Victor Osimhen use of a protective hand gear, which they claim puts other players in danger, according to reports,
In Galatasaray’s cup loss to Gençlerbirliği S.K., the 27-year-old played for 13 minutes as he just got back from injury after a month, wearing a long-sleeved jersey with a bandaged arm.

“Fenerbahçe believes that the hard protective gear used by Victor Osimhen in matches poses a risk to opposing players. The yellow-and-navy club is preparing to formally raise this issue by applying to the Turkish Football Federation,” Turkish news outlet HT Spor reported, as seen by ENigeria Newspaper.
“The club’s medical team is preparing a report on materials that can be used according to IFAB rules.”
Before their possible title match on Sunday, it is unclear how the TFF will decide this issue. With four games left, Galatasaray leads the Super Lig with 71 points, four more than Fenerbahçe.
Osimhen injuries
After suffering a severe facial injury during a game while playing for Napoli in 2021, Osimhen wears a protection mask. The Nigerian suffered fractures to his cheekbone and eye socket after clashing with Milan Skriniar of Inter Milan.
Osimhen needed surgery and was sidelined for three months. According to a statement from Napoli, “titanium plates and eighteen screws were utilized in the operation.”
When Osimhen started playing again, the medics recommended that he wear a protective mask.
