Nigerians have been left in shock after viral pictures of Nigerian singer and songwriter Charly Boy, real name Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, with former president Olusegun Obasanjo revealed his age.
An X user, username @onejoblessboy, reposted the pictures of the two men and added that Charly Boy, despite being as old as 75 years, is still very active and agile.
The repost has sparked reactions as Nigerians are left in shock about how Charly Boy can be older than President Bola Tinubu who is 75 years of age. Nigerians are awed because president Tinubu is a year less than the Nigerian entertainment but is not as agile as the latter.
Recall that there have been speculations and doubts that the age that the president claims is not accurate while he contested for the post of presidency. In 2022, a feature publication by The Guardian, dated 1998, showed Tinubu’s age as 52 years of old. Fast forward to 2022, the president presented age 70 as his real age, sparking accusations of inconsistenties.
In reaction to the repost of Charly Boy pictures and videos, Nigerians have expressed what they think might be an inconsistent declaration of age.
