Following his recent arrest for the murder and sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, streaming services Spotify and Apple Music are under intense pressure to erase all songs of singer D4vd.
The musician, whose true name is David Anthony Burke, was accused of killing Celeste Rivas, a teenager who vanished more than a year ago.
After learning these startling facts, Industry Blackout, an advocacy group, started a petition demanding that his music be removed from all platforms. They contended that it is “not a neutral choice” to play his songs while he is facing such serious charges.
Following the discovery of the young girl’s remains in a vehicle connected to him, D4vd was taken into custody last week.
According to the prosecution, he killed the adolescent in April 2025 and then disfigured her corpse. He is presently detained without bail after entering a not guilty plea to the allegations, which include murder and wrongful mutilation.
Many of his former partners, such as Laufey and Kali Uchis, have already taken action to delete their joint compositions, even if his work is still accessible on various platforms as of Saturday. Due to the singer’s detrimental behavior, YouTube has also taken action and suspended his channel’s earning potential.
ENigeria Newspaper note that the singer could be sentenced to life in prison or the death penalty if proven guilty for the murder of Celeste Rivas.
