Tinubu visits Plateau, Ogun, Lagos, Bayelsa in multi-state tour

President Bola Tinubu will begin a four-state tour of Nigeria on Thursday, starting with Jos, Plateau State, where he is expected to commiserate with the government and residents over recent gun attacks that claimed the lives of innocent citizens on Sunday evening.

ENigeria Newspaper gathere that this when Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga confirmed this information in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

The president’s visit to Plateau comes after a previously scheduled trip to Iperu, Ogun State, was postponed. The Ogun visit was initially planned to flag off operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport.

Following his engagement in Plateau, Mr Tinubu will proceed to Lagos to observe the Good Friday holiday. On Saturday, he is set to travel to Ogun State to commission the Gateway International Cargo Airport and inaugurate two commercial aircraft aimed at boosting export and import operations to enhance the state’s economic growth.

During the Ogun visit, the president will also open the new edifice of the Federal Operations Unit of the Nigeria Customs Service and unveil operational vehicles intended to improve efficiency in trade facilitation and border management.

After completing engagements in Ogun, Mr Tinubu will return to Lagos to continue Easter celebrations while also commissioning key infrastructure projects implemented under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration. Among the projects are the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, and a multi-agency complex named in honor of the president.

The president will additionally inaugurate a school complex as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure in Lagos.

Before concluding the tour, Mr Tinubu is scheduled to visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to commission projects completed under Governor Douye Diri’s administration.

The four-state tour combines condolence visits with the commissioning of infrastructure projects across multiple sectors, reflecting the administration’s focus on both national solidarity and development.
