There are new indications that Anita Okoye and her ex-husband husband, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) who were divorced in February 2023 are still an item – this is according to an informed inside source who spoke to ENigeria Newspaper exclusively during the weekend.
You would recall that ENigeria Newspaper was the first newspaper in Nigeria to break the news of the official divorce granted Anita and Paul Okoye in February 2023 by an Abuja High Court seated in the Federal Capital Territory. READ IT HERE
It would be recalled that Anita had earlier accused her ex-husband Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) of a number of things in a divorce petition leaked online in 2021 – this is shortly after she relocated abroad with her children.
ENigeria Newspaper correspondent who monitored the proceeding at the time reports that Anita who attended court sessions via Zoom throughout the trial was unable to prove allegations of infidelity and others leveled at her husband, thus, in a counter-affidavit filed by the respondent’s attorney, wherein she was also asked to provide proof of her contribution to her husband’s wealth, she as well could not provide any, but summarily opted for settlement.
“Anita leaked the divorce papers to paid influencers at the instance of her allies who reportedly advised her that a media leak to ridicule him could arm-twist a shy Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) to call for a monetary settlement”, an ally of the Okoyes told this reporter in January.
Following an unsuccessful attempt at allegedly blackmailing Paul, she formerly served him the divorce papers in August 2022, and there on the legal fireworks commenced, ENigeria Newspaper understands.
However, in a recent turn out of events, fresh information at our disposal is that Anita and Paul like the proverbial old firewood that make the best fire, are still catching feelings for each other, this is as the source confided in us that the estranged couple still have sex even though former is aware that her ex-husband is now with a new lover.
“Okafor’s law is in in full play here. Those two still have sex anytime they meet, in fact is still very much in love with Rudeboy and she openly acknowledged it at the court proceedings that he is a good man who is also very kind and plays his role as a father, very well”, our source averred.
For the records, Okafor’s law is derived from a movie titled Okafor’s Law released in 2016 featuring, Blossom Chukwujekwu as lead character. In the movie directed by renowned Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli – Okafor’s Law states that once a man has had a woman, he can have her again at any time if he so wishes, and an ardent believer in the law puts it to a test with past girlfriends over a 21-day period.
When we inquired why Anita divorced her husband knowing he was innocent of the allegations she allegedly leveled against in the court papers sighted sometime last year, the source continued, “she was pressured by some of her relatives to divorce her husband and relocate a broad in order to possibly take possession of his choice property in America and claim millions of dollars in alimony.
“In fact, one them (names withheld for security reasons) championed the course of the numerous issues between the couple at the time, including the allegations of adultery. After it became obvious that she may not be getting much from alimony as expected, giving the subsequent dimension of the case, she immediately did a detour.
“I can tell you for free, she had since been scheming for them to return as a couple, but it was too late since Paul was already with Ivy Ifeoma, but guess what, Anita agreed to manage, even if it meant reducing her status to that of a side chick while Ivy plays the poster girl”.
