Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jrn attended Okpu Umuobo Comprehensive Sch. Aba for his SSCE and afterwards proceeded to the Abia State University where he was awarded the Bachelor’s degree.
Career
It is important to mention in the Biography of Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jrn, that after many years of dedicated service in Abia State politics, he found his way into limelight when he was appointed to served as a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu. In 2023 afterwards, he resigned as SSA, contested and won the Obingwa-West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly seat under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). At the State Assembly, he served as the chairman of the House Committee on Public Service Matters.
However, in February of 2026, the lawmaker, alongside several others, dumped the PDP for the All Progressive Congress, citing that his decision would enable him to attract greater development to Obingwa LGA, Abia South and the state at large.
ENigeria Newspaper reports that he is still a lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly and might not return as he is being considered for the post of the state’ deputy governor under the APC.

Public controversies
The Biography of Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jrn is incomplete without a fair mention of his controversies. His term as a lawmaker had a bit of controversy. Due to accusations of financial misconduct and possible money laundering, the Federal High Court issued an interim forfeiture order on three properties connected to him in April 2025. The case has brought his financial activities to the public’s attention and involves an estimated N28 billion in claimed earnings. As of this writing, he has not been found guilty of any crimes.
In addition, Erondu was also criticized in May 2023 for allegedly being involved in internal Assembly politics of Abia State. He vehemently refuted claims that he had funded an attempted leadership crisis, claiming he wasn’t even sworn in at the time.
