Early on Saturday morning, social media celebrity Carter Efe won the celebrity boxing title at the Chaos in the Ring 4 after defeating musician Portable via majority decision. According to ENigeria Newspaper reports earlier, the fight was held at Balmoral Hall, which is part of the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
Both performers traded powerful blows in front of a full house during the highly anticipated three-round bout. Efe’s domination was confirmed and he was crowned the new champion after all three judges scored the fight 30–27 in his favour.
With a track record of prior triumphs in the celebrity boxing scene, Portable, who is well-known for his exuberant demeanor on the ring, entered the ring with confidence. After defeating Speed Darlington and Charles Okocha previously, the “ZaZoo Zehh” crooner has won two belts and solidified his place as a key player in the entertainment crossover of the sport.
However, throughout the fight, Carter Efe showed more control and discipline. Throughout all three rounds, he controlled the pace and countered Portable’s aggressive strategy with deliberate movement and accurate striking.
Carter Efe then won the fight 27–30 according to all three judges, depriving Portable of his title as the most famous boxer.
Carter Efe has now ended his opponent’s winning streak in celebrity boxing by being composed and in control until the very last bell, despite Portable’s attempts to restore momentum.
