The winner of the most recent celebrity boxing bout, Carter Efe, well-known Nigerian streamer, has bemoaned the delay in receiving his N50 million reward.
Recall that ENigeria Newspaper reported that Carter Efe won the N50 million prize in a celebrity boxing match on Friday by defeating musician Portable.
In response to his loss, Portable claimed that the match judges’ decision to crown Carter Efe was staged by the organizers in order to avoid having to pay the N23 billion stakes that people had wagered on his victory.
Carter, however, criticized the organizers for the N50 million prize money delivery delay in a recent social media video, confirmed by ENigeria Newspaper.
“Dem never give me my money oo. I never see N50 million ooo. I nearly die for that fight, I never see the N50 million. Make dem pay me the N50 oo, make body sweet me o” he lamented.
Carter Efe vs Portable fight
Early on Saturday morning, social media celebrity Carter Efe won the celebrity boxing title at the Chaos in the Ring 4 after defeating musician Portable via majority decision. According to ENigeria Newspaper reports earlier, the fight was held at Balmoral Hall, which is part of the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
Both fghters traded powerful blows in front of a full house during the highly anticipated three-round bout. Efe’s domination was confirmed and he was crowned the new champion after all three judges scored the fight 30–27 in his favour.
After the victory, the popular streamer was told that he might need to defend his title. He was then asked who he will want to fight next.
“I will think about it ; let me rest first.”
